Mix up a cosmopolitan and slip on a pair of Jimmy Choos -- the girls of Sex and the City may be getting back together! Rumors have been swirling for weeks that a third Sex and the City film could be in the works, and talk just heated up this past weekend when Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis hinted at their possible involvement. Davis, who played prissy Upper East Sider Charlotte York on the HBO series and subsequent 2008 and 2010 films, started a conversation with Parker over Twitter on Friday, Oct. 3. She shared a photo of herself with her former costar and wrote, "@SJP Miss YOU XOXOXO!! <3" PHOTOS: Sex and the City's Best Fashion Moments of All Time Parker, who starred as the protagonist writer Carrie Bradshaw, quickly responded, talking her way around the possibility of a Sex and the City reboot. "@KristinDavis Me too you!" she tweeted. "Heard the news? X" "@SJP Yyyeessssss…" Davis, 49, wrote back. "But I'm afraid to get TOO excited yet - You let me know when we can celebrate. XO" Credit: Newsmakers/HBO/Getty Images Parker's tease prompted a firestorm of responses from fans, asking what news Parker was referring to. "That news zooming around," Parker, 49, responded. PHOTOS: Sarah Jessica Parker's Style Evolution While Davis and Parker are up on the SATC hype, one actress who seems to be out of the loop is Kim Cattrall, who played the raunchy Samantha Jones. Responding to inquiries from fans about a possible third film, the actress, 58, tweeted, "News 2 me... Rumors like this are flattering." Fans' hopes for more stories about the four New York City friends were buoyed last week when Jennifer Hudson, who starred in the Sex and the City movie, spoke on the film. "I think it might be [happening]," she told Dish Nation in a radio interview of a third SATC movie. "Somebody just came to me talking about that. So if it's in the talks, it might happen. So look for it." PHOTOS: Costars Reunited Cynthia Nixon has yet to comment on the rumored installment, though she has been less than enthusiastic in the past about continuing her role of neurotic attorney Miranda Hobbes. "I think we had a wonderful ride," Nixon, 48, told the Hollywood Reporter in 2012. "I think it's fine to let it go." She hedged her words this past March, telling Marie Claire UK, "If [creator] Michael Patrick King thinks that he has another script to write and Sarah Jessica is signing up for it, well of course I would be thrilled. But it's got to come from them. If they're on board, and they're moving forward, then I'd be right there with them."
